What make and model of vans do you have?
Our van fleet consists of two different vehicle types:
1. Ford Econoline E-350 XLT (15 passenger) with V-810 engines.
Please note that while these vans are rated to carry 15 passengers, the NHTSA recommends not transporting any more then 10 passengers at a time. This is due to the fact that the increased weight of the extra passengers makes the vehicle more likely to roll over in the event of a sudden turn.
2. Dodge Sprinters (we have both the 2500 and the 3500 models) with 158" / 170" wheelbase, high roof, diesel engine, and separate cargo hold.
Our Sprinters have customized interiors with 6 captain's chairs and a bench seat, and can accomodate up to 9 people comfortably.

Do you allow your vans to go out of state?
Yes we do. You can travel to any of the 50 states and Canada. You are also welcome to take our vans to Hawaii, but let us know, cause we want to laugh our asses off.

Do you allow your vans into Mexico?
No senor.

How many seats are in the vans? Are they removable?
Ford Econoline:
There are 4 rows of bench seats (in addition to the driver and front passenger). They are removable and will pop out in about two minutes. You are welcome to request removal of the two rear rows to make room for your gear (We do not, however, allow removal of the front two bench seats), but please make sure there is a seat belt for every person riding in the van. This is very important!

Dodge Sprinter:
There are four captains chairs, and one bench seat, in addition to the driver and front passenger. None of these seats are removable, as there is a separate area for gear storage.

What are the requirements to rent a van?
To rent one of our self drive vehicles you must be 25 years of age or older. You must have a valid driver's license and you must have proof of current auto liability insurance in your name (company insurance ok). Please note that in very specific circumstances we can occasionally get a waiver for drivers under 25 years of age for an additional fee. Please contact us for more information.

Can I fit my bands equipment into the van?
Ford Van:
Every band is different, but your standard four piece band will have no trouble storing their gear inside a Ford van if they remove the rear two seats. This will leave seating for 6-8 people.

Dodge Sprinter:
Due to the dedicated storage area the Dodge Sprinter offer even more storage space for your gear, which may save you the time and hassle of renting a trailer. The Sprinter comes with nearly 200 cubic feet of storage space.

I have too much gear to fit inside the van, what should I do?
All of our Ford vans come with tow hitches. So if you need more storage space, rent a trailer from U-haul, Big Tex, or any other reputable trailer rental company.

We don't typically allow the Sprinters to tow a trailer, but if you have a unique situation, let us know and we can talk about it. In our experience the vast majority of bands can fit their equipment and luggage into the cargo space without any problems.

What kind of miles per gallon can I expect to get from the van?
Ford Vans:
We advise people to roughly estimate 15 miles to the gallon. If you follow our advice (see below) you can substantially improve this mileage. We have had clients report getting as many as 20 miles to the gallon.

Dodge Sprinters:
These vans are very economical on fuel due to the highly efficient Mercedes Benz engine. They can get as much as 27 miles to the gallon.

How can I save money?
In addition to being the best van rental company, we are also the least expensive. Still most people going on tour are looking to save every penny they can. We understand and sympathize, that's why we started this business. There are many things you can do to save money and still successfully complete a nationwide tour. Here are some things we recommend:
1. Drive the speed limit. In addition to being substantially safer, there is a 20% difference in fuel consumption between 65 and 80 MPH. This will add up to hundreds of dollars saved over the course of a national tour.
2. Have your booking agent plan your shows as closely together distance-wise as possible. If possible, play a couple shows in the same area. This is a great way to build an audience! Zigzagging across the country not only adds to stress and wear on the vehicle, it also adds to stress and wear on the band! Poorly planned tours are significantly more expensive in fuel consumption and mileage. Plan your tours smart, and you will still see all the same cities but for hundreds of dollars less.
3. Take care of your van!
We ask all of our clients to change the oil every 3000 miles (every 10k miles for the Sprinters). This is so important to us that we actually reimburse you for these oil changes at the end of the tour! Just bring back your receipts and we will credit your bill accordingly. Also we highly reccomend you use our supplied tire pressure gauges to make sure your tires are properly inflated. A properly maintained van will save you money and will insure a successful tour! If you don't know how to do these things our staff will be more then happy to show you how. Just ask!

Do you do one way rentals?
We do allow one way rentals between our current locations (Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle) for an additional drop off fee. One ways between other locations can be arranged for an additional transportation fee.

Do you deliver?
We will deliver anywhere in the United States or Canada for a fee. Our delivery fees are generally broken down into driver pay, fuel, hotel and return airfare.

Do you rent to people who aren't musicians?
Yes we do. We have rented to churches, film productions, families and commercial companies. We will rent our vans to anybody, but our primary goal is to serve the music community.

What is your cancellation policy?
Tours longer then three days require a non-refundable 30% deposit to reserve the vehicle. Tours of three days or less require a non-refundable deposit equal to one days rental. Tours cancelled on the day of the reservation or afterwards will be charged for the entire reservation.

I would like to reserve one of your vans, what do I do?
Give us a call or send us an email. Usually what we want to see is a copy of your tour itinerary so we can get an estimate of how many miles you will be traveling and how many days you will be gone (All we need is a list of the cities you will be visiting, in the order you will be visiting them). Once we get an idea of what your trip is like we will give you an estimate so you will know what your final total including all taxes will be. When you have confirmed you want to rent with us, we will take a credit card number to guarantee your reservation for the van. That's it!

What is your breakdown policy?
We provide a 24-7 nationwide tow service. We are extremely proactive when it comes to getting repairs. You will not find a company more committed to getting you moving again quickly.

What condition are the vans in?
Almost all our vans are late model vehicles (2006 and newer). Mileage on the vans will obviously vary due to the nature of our clientele (some of our clients average 10k miles a month!). Given the nature of our business, it is common for our vans to have the occasional ding or scratch, but we are not running a rent-a-wreck operation. The vehicle will be delivered to you clean, and in excellent running condition.

Do the vans come with video games?
Yes, all of our vans come with a healthy (or unhealthy) supply of videogames.

Do the vans come with movies?
Due to the wide variance in tastes among our clients, we do not provide DVD's, but you are welcome to bring your own.
